Stereovision and Depth Perception

This is a new addition to our studies. We recently became aware of the fact that it is not excessively difficult to produce a 3-D image from stereograms - including video stereograms. We are currently looking into the feasibility of training surgeons in seeing 3-D images from 2-D inputs for surgery. We are still unsure of the practicality of using a stereographic video input.
