Microsurgical Eye-hand Coordination

This proposed study will look into the effects of laparoscope angles. Laparoscopes are traditionally not inserted in an angle which corresponds with the natural viewing angle of the surgeon. We seek to insert the camera at such an angle that the overall viewing field will be as if the surgeon was simply looking down onto the surgical site from a natural angle. An additional point of study is to add an additional camera from a different angle to produce a different point of view. The hope is that the additional camera will assist surgeons in operating more efficiently, thus reducing the amount  of errors and operating time.
